KUALA LUMPUR: A man has celebrated his birthday recently with a generous gesture by distributing food to those in need, which inspired netizens to want to engage in acts of kindness.
In a clip shared by @imn.barbershop on TikTok, the man is seen holding a plastic bag filled with food, distributing it to street sweepers, beggars, the crippled and homeless individuals in various parts of the city here.
Many of the recipients bowed their heads in gratitude as they accepted his food.
Accompanied by a moving song, the video caption said fulfilling his dream of doing charity work on his birthday was a significant milestone, as he sought prayers and support from others on this special day.
The video had garnered 528,200 views and 107,100 likes, spreading joy to netizens who wished to emulate such acts of kindness.
User @s0ftniss commented, "I can't afford to buy full meals for others yet, but today, on my birthday, I'm happy because I was able to bring curry puffs for my officemates."
@mr.puteri shared that her mother used to make donations on her birthday, explaining that "if we only hope for others to give us presents, we'll likely end up disappointed" as it's better to be the one giving.
