KUALA LUMPUR: A 23-year-old Malaysian woman was injured while taking a slide ride at the Changi International Airport in Singapore recently.
She suffered a fractured leg as a result of her misadventure while sliding down one of the rides available at the airport vicinity.
An online news portal WeirdKaya post on Instagram shared a video of the incident. It showed the woman being transported to a medical facility by an ambulance.
There were short videos which were believed to be taken using the victim's own phone or by people who were with her. One of them showed the woman with her legs folded as she slid down the narrow tube towards the exit but she does not appear at the end of the tube.

The viral video has drawn many comments from netizens, with many blaming the girl for a possible wrong choice of rubber shoes and the way she kept her legs while taking the slide.
There were also those who joked about the woman having brittle bones and asked her to drink more milk.
On social media user offered tips on the supposed proper way to go down a slide.
"Before riding the slide, there are instructions on how you should slide down e.g. hands and feet tucked in.
"This could be caused by wrong posture or maybe shoes gripped the slide and SNAP," said the netizen.
Another person asked if the woman bought travel insurance, so that it could cover her medical bills at the hospital.
