DAP's Lim Lip Eng ejected from Dewan Rakyat

KUALA LUMPUR: A DAP lawmaker was ejected from the Dewan Rakyat today after continuing to press on the delayed payment by 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) to the International Petroleum Investment Company (IPIC).

DAP's Segambut MP Lim Lip Eng brought up the issue in the House today after his motion was turned down by Dewan Rakyat Speaker Pandikar Amin Mulia.

Pandikar had rejected his motion through a letter sent earlier today.

When arguing, Lim was told by deputy speaker Datuk Seri Ismail Mohamed Said that the House will follow Pandikar's decision.

Ismail then asked Lim to sit down and warned that he would take action against Lim in order to ensure other matters could be addressed at the meeting.

However, Lim retaliated and started reading out the contents of the letter that was sent to him by Pandikar.

This prompted Ismail to ask security personnel to escort Lim out of the Dewan Rakyat.
