KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan PKR Youth chief Dr Hafidz Rizal Amran has been removed from his position effective immediately.
This was confirmed to the New Straits Times by PKR Youth chief Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and PKR strategic communications director Fahmi Fadzil.
It is believed that Dr Hafidz’s replacement will be made known by the party’s central leadership soon.
In a Facebook post this morning, Dr Hafidz said he was informed of his removal by Nik Nazmi earlier today.
“I received a WhatsApp message from YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad at 9.08am this morning, who removed me immediately from the position of Kelantan Youth chief.
“I will state my position and give a response to this soon,” he said.
When contacted, Nik Nazmi said the party is replacing its Kelantan Youth chief following the central wing’s meeting with its state counterparts last week.
“The replacement for Youth chief will be announced soon,” he added.
