TANJONG KARANG: A three-month bonus will be given to civil servants in Selangor if Barisan Nasional (BN) is given the mandate to form the state government in the 14th General Election (GE14).
This was announced by Selangor BN chairman Tan Sri Noh Omar who said the bonus will be given via the state's 2019 Budget.
Noh said the announcement is seen as relevant, considering Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali also made a somewhat similar promise previously, despite the state government under his leadership shouldering debts amounting to billions of ringgit.
"He (Azmin) announced the bonus when his state government is shouldering SPLASH's (Syarikat Pengeluar Air Selangor Sdn Bhd) RM4.2 billion debt. And that doesn't include Unisel's debt of close to RM300,000.
"We believe it is more realistic (to make such a promise) since we have our 'ayahanda' which is BN at the federal level," Noh told reporters, here, today.
