INVOKE survey was made up, says Negri Sembilan BN chairman

PORT DICKSON: Negri Sembilan Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan said the survey by Invoke Malaysia (INVOKE), which had predicted that the state would lose in the 14th General Election (GE14), is merely a psychology war.

He said the survey conducted by Negri Sembilan BN had resulted in a different outcome.

Mohamad said based on the survey and reports received, BN would be able to retain its seats in Negri Sembilan, besides adding at least two more seats to win a two-third majority.

“That (INVOKE survey) was made up to create a psychology war. I say BN will win in Negri Sembilan and they (INVOKE) say otherwise, but that is their version.

“That is the same old story which had repeatedly claimed that Negri Sembilan would be the first state to lose in GE13 but clearly we didn’t lose. In fact, we managed to secure more seats,” he said when asked to comment on the INVOKE survey which had predicted that BN would be dethroned in several states including Negri Sembilan.

Mohamad is confident that BN would continue to lead the state after its success in delivering 44 out of 45 pledges it had offered in GE13.

“I am very happy to know that based on the survey conducted, we are leading with 60-40 (in Teluk Kemang parliamnetary seat) while in Seremban parliamentary seat, it’s a 50-50 (fight).

“I believe that if we manage to win more votes in the Ampangan, Sikamat and Lenggeng state seats, we will be able to regain the Seremban parliamentary seat,” he said.

DAP candidate Loke Siew Foke won the Seremban seat in GE13, while the Teluk Kemang (Port Dickson) parliamentary seat was won by PKR candidate Kamarul Baharin Abbas.
