KUALA LUMPUR: Umno secretary-general Tan Sri Annuar Musa expressed his sympathy for members of the press, in light of the current political developments in the country.
Taking to his Twitter, Annuar said while he understood that some matters were confidential, the media should be briefed.
"I sympathise with media practitioners and journalists...they are waiting for news. I understand there are things that are confidential. There are also things they shouldn't 'beat the gun'.
"But give the media a briefing, the rakyat wants to know. This concerns them. When everyone shuts their mouths, fake news reigns," he tweeted.
