PETALING JAYA: Interim Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who has earlier resigned as the Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman, was no where to be seen at the party headquarters where an emergency meeting is being held.
Policemen and media members are on standby at the entrance, while a group of supporters were heard chanting “Hidup Tun” as party leaders made their way into the building.
Among them were party president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, party youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Yusof and Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
Tan Sri Dr Rais Yatim and Dr Maszlee Malik were also present.
Muhyiddin arrived at the party's headquarters at 8.29pm, while Mukhriz arrived at 8.45pm.
Meanwhile, Dr Mahathir was seen featured in an Instagram post by his granddaughter Serena Mukhriz having a light moment at the dinner table with the latter and several others.
Other leaders including party youth chief Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman and Perak Menteri Besari Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu were also seen making their way into the building.
