IPOH: Three opposition leaders from Perak Pakatan Harapan (PH) will have an audience with the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah tomorrow.
They are Perak DAP chairman Nga Kor Ming; state PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak; and Perak Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah) chairman Datuk Asmuni Awi.
The meeting is scheduled to be held at Istana Kinta along Jalan Sultan Nazrin Shah here at 11am.
Earlier today, Sultan Nazrin met Perak Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu, State Secretary Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim, State Legal Advisor Azmir Shah Zainal Abidin and state Speaker Datuk Mohammad Zahir Abdul Kalid.
It is believed that the meeting was held to discuss today's motion of confidence on Ahmad Faizal, where the menteri besar failed to secure a simple majority of support from assemblymen.
The Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) deputy president only saw 10 out of 59 assemblymen supporting him, with 58 voting against the motion, and one spoilt vote.
The motion was tabled by Pengkalan Baru assemblyman Datuk Abdul Manaf Hashim and supported by Temenggor assemblyman, Salbiah Mohamad and Pasir Pinji assemblyman, Howard Lee Chuan How.
The state legislative assembly sitting will be adjourned until Wednesday.
