KUALA LUMPUR: Pas is expected to stick with its previous decision not to dissolve the state assemblies of Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah.
According to a source close to the party, the Islamist party made the decision in a special meeting yesterday.
"The meeting attended by several Pas top leaders was held in Kuala Lumpur and they decided not to dissolve the state assemblies in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu.
"But there will be another meeting tomorrow to finalise the decision," said the sources.
It is learnt that yesterday's meeting was attended among others by Pas deputy president Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man, Pas secretary- general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan and Pas vice-president Datuk Seri Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.
Pas president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, however, did not attend the meeting.
Abdul Hadi had on Oct 8 announced that the state governments of Kelantan, Terengganu, and Kedah will not push for a dissolution should the Parliament be dissolved.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the dissolution of Parliament on Oct 10 after getting the consent of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
