KOTA BARU: Pas has defended the move to use its logo in Kedah, Kelantan and Teregganu in the 15th General Election (GE15).
Pas vice-president Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah said it was at the request of the three states and also to avoid confusion among the party's faithful voters, especially the elderly.
"Apart from it from being requested by the three states, Pas also stuck to the old logo (for parliamentary seats) as we do not want to create confusion among our voters, particularly the elderly.
"We want to make easy for them to vote in the election," said the deputy Kelantan Menteri Besar.
The Panchor assemblyman told this to reporters when met at 'Jualan Murah' programme here today.
He said the decision was made after consulting Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).
Pas deputy president, Datuk Seri Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man yesterday said Pas would use it's full moon logo in Kelantan, Terengganu and Kedah in GE15.
In other states, he said, the Islamic party will use the Perikatan Nasional (PN) logo.
He said the decision would be tabled at the Perikatan Nasional Supreme Leadership Council meeting soon.
