Zahid: Opposition undecided about logo, but BN has stuck with 'dacing'

KUALA LUMPUR: There seems to be no consensus among opposition parties on which party or coalition logo to use in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said DAP, Pas and PKR were "sleeping on the same pillow, but have different dreams".

"DAP wants to use its rocket logo and not Pakatan Harapan's (PH) in some areas.

"Pas wants to use its moon logo in states it governs, although it pledges allegiance to Perikatan Nasional.

"Many remember that PKR, although a PH component party, used their own logo during a by-election.

"These differences are a silent element that will lead to an unstable and chaotic government.

"In the end, the victims are the people and the country," he said in a Facebook post today.

Zahid, who is Umno president, said the logo of a white "dacing" (scales) against a dark blue background has been BN's symbol for a long time, signifying cooperation and unity among its component parties which has brought stability and prosperity to the people.

He said the people should know how to see the difference and help chart a new future for Malaysia in GE15.

"BN is the only coalition that offers consensus and unity that is honest and sincere.

"Forecasts say the world will face an economic crisis next year, which is why our country must be at its strongest and most stable to ride through the storm."
