GE15: Muhyiddin hints at coalition government

SHAH ALAM: Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has hinted at the possibility of forming a coalition government to take over Putrajaya.

He said, however, the coalition would never sit at the same table with Pakatan Harapan (PH).

Speaking during a special press conference here, Muhyiddin said PN was committed to forming a stable and clean government.

"Those who want to work together with us must share the same principles with us. I would like to thank the people for choosing us (PN) to lead the country.

"I also want to congratulate all candidates who won their respective constituencies," he said during a press conference at PN's media centre here.

The atmosphere was lively as hundreds of supporters shouted "PN", "Takbir", and "Abah" when Muhyiddin took the stage.

Muhyiddin also did not rule out the possibility that PN will collaborate with BN and political parties from Sabah and Sarawak to form a federal government.

The crowd, however, expressed their disagreement with Muhyiddin's statement by shouting "Tak nak Zahid" which refers to BN chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.
