BN's attempt to postpone meeting with King smells of a plot: Annuar [NSTTV]

KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional's (BN) attempt to postpone the meeting with the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah this morning, is seen as disobeying the ruler's orders but also preventing him from completing the task of appointing a new Prime Minister.

Ketereh Umno Division Chief Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the decision by BN to postpone a morning with the King this meeting also shows that there is something not right with the coalition.

He claimed the attempt to delay the matter was masterminded by certain quarters because if the BN MPs meet the King then the 'student and teacher's plot hatched believed to be Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will fail.

"BN should not burden the Yang di-Pertuan Agong from carrying out his majesty's duty. It is clear now that there is something wrong with the BN side and not Istana Negara.

"There are parties who choose to delay the (King's) order because if the order is adhered to, for sure student and teacher's plot would fail," said Annuar in a statement today.

It was reported that BN had applied to postpone the audience involving the 30 BN federal lawmakers before the King, scheduled for 10.30am today, after the BN Supreme Council meeting concluded last night.

The former Ketereh Member of Parliament also said that if BN's request to postpone the audience it will place Al-Sultan Abdullah in a difficult situation and the ruler may be accused of cooperating with certain parties, when all the King wanted was to resolve the matter.

"This matter has also placed BN as a party that continues to cause problems to Malaysians and not resolving the problems of the people.

"This is one reason why BN was rejected by the people of Malaysia. All because of the cause of one person. And the party suffers its consequences. Isn't the damage that has been brought to this party enough?" he asked.
