KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan has won in the Banting state seat in Selangor based on unofficial results released as of 8pm.
Papparaidu Veraman won with 23,605 votes or 53 per cent of the overall votes as compared to Perikatan Nasional's Saravanan Mutto Krishnan, who obtained 3,624 votes.
As of 8pm, 28,501 out of 44,972 ballots from the state seat have been tabulated.
DAP, a component of PH, is also leading in the unofficial vote count in the other 14 seats it is contesting in Selangor. There are 56 seats in the state assembly.
