Umno, Amanah and PKR representatives lodge police reports against Machang MP

MACHANG: The representatives of three political parties today lodged separate police reports against Bersatu youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal on his claim about allocations for opposition members of parliament.

The representatives from Umno, Amanah and PKR lodged the reports at Machang district police station about 10.30am.

Machang Umno division vice-chief Mohd Fakaaruddin Ismail described Wan Ahmad Fayhsal statement as slander.

"The reason we are lodging the reports is to denyWan Ahmad Fayhsal's claim that allocations to opposition MPs are being diverted to political parties that support the unity government.

"His statement is a big slander and he issued those remarks with bad intentions.

"He is trying to paint a bad image of the unity government and as representatives of the political parties under the unity government, we deny the allegation since we did not receive any such allocation," he told reporters here today.

Yesterday, Wan Fayhsal told a press conference outside Parliament that allocation which opposition MPs were suppose to receive as elected representative were diverted to political parties that supported the unity government.

Wan Fayhsal had also claimed that no audit was being done on it.

Fakaaruddin said Wan Fayhsal should speak based on facts.

"Allocations from the government to Parliament being diverted to political parties has never happened throughout history."

"He is a big liar," he said, while urging police to take stern action against the Machang MP based on the Constitution.

He said the three of them as well as other party members will also discuss the matter with their respective party leadership.
