KOTA BARU: Kuala Krai Bersatu chief Zulfaqar Dahalan and Gua Musang former deputy chief, Che Ariffin Hussin, are among those whose names have been mentioned as candidates for the upcoming Nenggiri state by-election.
Another name highlighted is Bersatu member, Sheikh Razali Hamad.
With 25 days left before the candidate nomination deadline, these three individuals are reportedly being considered and have been put forward by the state Bersatu leadership.
Among these names, Sheikh Razali and Che Ariffin hail from the area, whereas Zulfaqar is from Kuala Krai.
Earlier it was reported that Bersatu Kelantan had submitted the names of three potential candidates to the party leadership for consideration in the Nenggiri by-election.
Chairman Datuk Kamaruddin Md Noor confirmed that these submissions were made last week.
Meanwhile, Umno President Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is expected to finalise the party's candidate selection by the end of this week.
