BN will help Sabah to overcome poverty, says Bung Moktar

SANDAKAN: Local-based parties have failed to eradicate poverty in Sabah, said state Barisan Nasional (BN) liaison chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.

"Sabah is a state with great development potential. It has abundant resources both in the deep sea, forests, and on land.

"However, due to mismanagement, inadequate oversight, and lack of commitment, Sabah remains impoverished and underdeveloped," he said during the closing of the Sabah BN convention at SJKC Tiong Hua.

Bung, who is also the Kinabatangan MP and Lamag assemblyman, promised that BN would work towards bringing Sabah out of poverty if it wins the 17th state election.

He said Sabah BN has learned from past mistakes and can no longer afford to be divided.

"We will present new faces, new initiatives, and new offers. God willing, we will transform the current situation. We aim to renew the mentality of our people in Sabah."
