PN leadership restructured, sets sights on Sabah's strategic overhaul

KUALA LUMPUR: Perikatan Nasional (PN) unveiled organisational changes and strategic initiatives that could redefine the party's political trajectory, in a statement released today.

PN chairman Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin was joined by PAS president Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang, Gerakan president Datuk Dominic Lau and Malaysian Indian People's Party president, Punithan Paramsiven during its Supreme Council meeting on Dec 9.

Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin has been appointed as PN Women's Chief, while Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali will serve as secretary-general.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu was named PN Information Chief.

The party also restructured its leadership, with Bersatu nominating three key leaders to the PN Supreme Council.

Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin will serve as deputy chairman, with Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin and Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee will be joining as Supreme Council members.

PN also confirmed its participation in the upcoming Sabah state election, expected to be held by November next year, and directed its Sabah chapter to develop a comprehensive strategy aimed at forming a new state government.

Additionally, PN established a new Policy and Strategy Department to manage strategic planning, action plans, and national issue surveys.

The party simultaneously reaffirmed its commitment to community support, maintaining active engagement in flood victim assistance and post-disaster cleanup efforts.
