Aksyah quits Sabah Bersatu, announces support for GRS [WATCH]

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Bersatu deputy chief Aksyah Nasrah has quit the party and announced his support for Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS).

Aksyah said today he had relinquished his positions with immediate effect.

"I have submitted my resignation letter to Sabah Bersatu chief Datuk Seri Ronald Kiandee, dated Dec 28.

"This decision was made solely by me and was not influenced by anyone."

He expressed his full support for Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, who chairs GRS, and commended the coalition's efforts to protect Sabah's rights and interests.

He said Hajiji's slogan, "Rumah Kita, Kita Jaga" (our home, we protect), is a powerful narrative for ensuring Sabah's leadership and management remain in local hands while maintaining a strong relationship with the federal government.

He praised Hajiji's success in uniting Sabah's leaders and people under the GRS coalition, saying that this unity is key to the state's progress.

"With the collaboration and unity of all local parties representing the majority of Sabahans, I am confident that Hajiji and GRS can lead Sabah to greater success for the benefit of the people."
