LETTERS: For more than seven decades, the world was shown how Israel is a brutal occupier of Palestine.
Every year, Nakba Day, which is the day of Israel's invasion of Palestinian land, is commemorated around the world.
However, this time, a documentary showcasing the insanity of Israel's oppression of the Palestinians has been deemed too much.
The film, titled Farha, depicts Israeli violence in 1948 and has generated a negative reaction from Israel, which condemns it. Nonetheless, Netflix will show the film, which is directed by Jordanian Darin Sallam.
On Netflix, a portal that broadcasts various popular films, Farha will be watched by millions who will have greater awareness and understanding of Israel as a terrorist state refreshed.
These people should mobilise worldwide solidarity in the struggle to liberate Palestine.
This is what Israel fears the most. Tel Aviv is worried about sympathy and support for Palestine spreading around the world and of the mass pressure which will lead to rejection of Israel's legitimacy.
Farha reveals the truth. The Palestinian struggle departs from the truth, which is that Palestine belongs to the Palestinians and was seized by Jewish Zionists propped up by western powers, especially the United States and Britain.
Israel's condemnation of Netflix, which obtained the rights to Farha, only reveals the Israeli hypocrisy when it comes to covering up its falsehood and violence that it has kept hidden from the eyes of the world.
The film, which was screened last year at the Toronto Film Festival, is based on a true story that happened to a Palestinian family that was brutally attacked and killed by Israeli soldiers.
In this regard, we also demand that the real information about the Israeli Zionist regime, which is an apartheid regime and a terrorist state, be revealed in the media for the world to see.
Farha is an eye-opening film for those who still feel that Israel has a right to exist while continuing its occupation of Palestinian land.
