Offer movie ticket discounts to seniors, persons with disabilities

LETTERS: The experience of watching movies on a large screen with a fantastic sound system is one of a kind.

However, watching movies in the cinema can be expensive. An adult ticket price can cost between RM14 and RM18.

At one cinema chain, children, students, people with disabilities (PwDs) and seniors pay RM11 for all shows.

At another cinema chain, children, students, PwDs and seniors pay RM8 for all shows.

Hopefully, the concession price of tickets at cineplexes will be standardised.

RM8 is a reasonable concession price for a movie ticket.

I am in my late 60s and frequent the cinema. I watch a movie every month. Recently, when I saw the Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, the hall was packed.

Perhaps the cinema chains could offer discount tickets to families or people celebrating their birthdays?

And frequent movie-goers should be able to earn free movie tickets for their patronage from time to time too.
