WCT Land Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of WCT Holdings Bhd, is confident it will be able to deliver the vacant possession of units at Paradigm Residence Johor Baru within less than three years.
Its chief executive officer for property development Ong Chou Wen said this is because the apartment building is being built on top of an existing shopping mall.
“This means that foundation works have already been completed. The construction is expected to begin by year-end and we expect it to be completed by 2022,” said Ong after launching the development at the WCT Land sales gallery in Paradigm Mall in Johor Baru recently.
Paradigm Residence is part of the integrated Paradigm JB development which also comprises the seven-storey Paradigm Mall JB and a 200-room hotel known as Hyatt Place JB. The hotel will open in 2022.
Paradigm Mall JB is one of the largest regional malls in Johor. The mall opened in late 2017 and offers over 400 retail shops and 4,200 car park bays.
Ong said JB has grown into a booming commercial and residential hub due to the influx of investments and other key developments.

The units are priced from RM318,000 to RM843,000. The residence is also open for sale to foreigners with a price tag from RM541,000 onwards.
Ong said the development has received good response with about 60 per cent of the units already sold up since the launch.
Every unit will be equipped with air-conditioners in the living rooms and bedrooms. There are kitchen cabinets and cooking hob, hardwood flooring and water heaters, said Ong.
Besides, there’s a spacious pool-side lounge, a 25m infinity pool, a wading pool, a fully-equipped gymnasium, a games room, reading room, function rooms and childcare spaces.
