IJM Land's Alam Suria township in Bandar Puncak Alam, Selangor, is yet another example of the developer's exceptional ability to design developments that are both people and nature friendly.
The sustainable and comprehensive community is the focus of this 1,163-acre integrated self-sustaining township.
Alam Suria was established in 2001 and consists of both residential and business complexes.
The township now has around 28,000 residents, with another influx projected in the near future, making it an excellent investment for owner-occupiers or investors.
The 11-acre central park, a finely built recreational park for inhabitants, is the showpiece. The park, which cost RM5 million to develop, is surrounded by landed houses and potential high-rise projects.
The park is decorated with over 500 trees and close to 1,300 bushes, as well as lavish and precise landscaping, resulting in a wide and attractive rendered green space (note that 13.43 per cent of Alam Suria has been apportioned as green spaces).
Over 80 per cent of the park space is connected to residences with pedestrian walkways.
According to Datuk Hoo Kim See, senior general manager (central region) of IJM Land, despite the park's complexity and sheer vastness, it only took a year to build this masterpiece.
The park has also been designed with universal design in mind, with wheelchair ramps constructed at strategic areas to aid the disabled.
The open-air amphitheatre, which was built expressly to accommodate community-related activities, is the cream of the crop. All of these recreational features point to IJM Land's desire to foster community among residents and neighbours.
But that's not all: a large stretch of woodland reserves exists just outside the centre park. Bukit Cherakah and Bukit Botak provide hard hiking trails for the more adventurous.
"At IJM Land, we are dedicated to building homes that bring people and nature together in a peaceful relationship that benefits all. As we strive to create an inclusive world for all, we not only develop dynamic communities, but we also construct a bigger, better, and brighter future for society," Hoo said.
The central park adds to IJM Land's tremendous list of accomplishments. With 77 acres of parks and lakes in its township developments, the developer has accumulated a green portfolio unlike any other.
