BANGI: The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) has sold properties worth RM600 million so far this year, according to its deputy chief executive officer (property development), Md Kamarzan Md Rais.
"PKNS is targeting RM1 billion this year, but due to the slow economy, we have only achieved RM600 million in sales," he said after officiating the Discover PKNS@Selangor Cyber Valley yesterday.
He said that next year PKNS aims to reach RM1 billion in sales from selling residential and industrial properties through 15 projects.
The projects include Selangor Cyber Valley in Cyberjaya; Antara Gapi in Serendah; Kota Puteri in Rawang; Bandar Sierra Alam in Shah Alam; and Kota Kemuning Industrial Area.
"Hopefully the economy will improve next year and we will be able to launch the projects as planned," he said.
According to reports, PKNS's revenue in the fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2021, doubled to RM2 billion, while pre-tax profit rebounded to RM109.9 million, mostly as a result of the segment's and the market's higher performance in land sales and property development.
