Rehda Malaysia names Ho Hong Sang as president, Zaini Yusoff as deputy

The Real Estate and Housing Developers' Association (REHDA) Malaysia has elected its new national council members for the 2024–2026 term.

Datuk Ir Ho Hon Sang of Equatorial Palms Sdn Bhd has been appointed the association's president, following the completion of Datuk NK Tong's two-year term.

Tong, who had held the presidency since July 2022, had also been the acting president for about six months prior to his appointment.

Ho extended his deepest gratitude to Tong for his dedication and diligence over the past two and a half years in his efforts to elevate the property industry to greater heights.

"He has set the bar very high, and I am aware of the challenges that await me as the new Rehda president. But I am confident that with the guidance of Tong and the past presidents, as well as the support of the other national council members and Rehda members at large, I will be able to continue the legacy of our achievements as a responsive, respected, responsible, and relevant NGO," he said in a statement.

Taking over Ho's previous post as deputy president is Rehda Selangor's chairperson, Datuk Zaini Yusoff of I&P Group Sdn Bhd (S P Setia Berhad).

Rehda Malaysia has also appointed Datuk Edward Chong Sin Kiat and Sufian Abdullah as its vice presidents.
