KUALA LUMPUR: R1MA Malaysia Corporation (PR1MA) is exploring opportunities with Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd and SANY Construction Industry Development (M) Sdn Bhd to support its property developments nationwide.
The affordable housing agency, under the Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT), has, through its subsidiary PR1MA Communications Sdn Bhd (PCSB), awarded a letter of interest to Huawei Malaysia to integrate smart devices into PR1MA developments.
Additionally, PR1MA plans to work with SANY to enhance collaboration in construction, human capital development, and sustainability management based on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles.
In a statement, PR1MA said that this initiative aligns with the Madani government's commitment, made last June, to explore potential cooperation between Malaysia and China in housing, technology, and urban planning.
The corporation said that the cooperation with SANY is aimed at advancing the application of Industrialised Building System (IBS) technology, particularly for Bandar PR1MA, which was launched last month.
PR1MA group chief executive officer Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Md. Shariff expressed hope that the strategic collaboration with Huawei Malaysia would ensure the integration of innovative smart devices into PR1MA residences, enhancing the comfort, convenience, and safety of residents.
"In addition, this joint initiative between Huawei Malaysia and SCID is expected to drive market growth, promote technological progress, and set new industry standards,'' he said in a statement.
Through these initiatives with Huawei Malaysia and SANY, PR1MA aims to introduce more innovations in the housing sector, providing long-term benefits to its residents and homebuyers.
