SEREMBAN: Malaysia Vision Valley 2.0 (MVV 2.0) is targeted to become a world-class metropolis backed by its strategic location and sustainable infrastructure network.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun said the MVV 2.0 project has been planned as a strategic driver of Malaysia's economic progress in line with the government's long-term policies, including the Twelfth Malaysia Plan and Industry 4.0.
"This development is a key catalyst for attracting high-value industrial investments, in line with national priorities to strengthen green investment sectors, high-tech manufacturing, and logistics, which are the core of the country's growth," he said at the groundbreaking ceremony of MVV City here today.
Aminuddin said MVV 2.0 is a significant catalytic project for Negeri Sembilan, aligning with the state government's efforts and plans, which are supported by the federal government.
He said this project positions Negeri Sembilan as one of the main catalysts for national and regional economic growth in the future.
"Covering the Seremban and Port Dickson districts with an area of approximately 153,000 hectares, MVV 2.0 has the potential to drive sustainable, inclusive, and innovative economic growth.
"It is not just about building a new urban center, but also redefining ways of living, working, and progressing as an advanced state and nation," he said.
MVV 2.0 is an initiative of the Negeri Sembilan state government to fulfil the needs of future smart urbanisation and industries in tandem with global advancements today.
This plan has been carefully crafted by the state government together with the responsible agency, Perbadanan Negeri Sembilan (NS), and implemented with Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd as the state government's strategic partner for the development of MVV City.
MVV City, dubbed the Pulse of the Future, is located at the heart of Parcel B of MVV 2.0, covering a total area of 8,796 acres.
Aminuddin said the strategic public-private partnership between Perbadanan NS and Matrix Concepts has proven effective as a catalyst for national development, with its implementation bringing many benefits to the people and the government.
With an area of 2,382 acres, he said MVV City is expected to become a catalytic development area integrating smart technology, sustainable practices, and community-centric design.
"Matrix Concepts' focus on strong industrial development, mixed-use developments, and residential projects ensures that MVV City will not only stimulate investment activity but also create equitable opportunities for participation and benefits from economic growth and development," he said.
Meanwhile, Matrix Concepts chairman Datuk Mohamad Haslah Mohamad Amin said this transformational development reflects Matrix Concept's commitment to building a rapidly growing ecosystem.
Mohamad Haslah stated that the company will develop 1,000 acres of industrial space, more than 15,000 residential units, and 174 acres of commercial lots, with a gross development value (GDV) of RM15 billion over a 12-year period.
Inspired as a smart city, MVV City is designed to be a dynamic hub where innovation, enterprise, and community come together.
Mohamad Haslah said it will offer advanced economic zones alongside business centers and educational institutions, such as the establishment of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) facilities.
"More excitingly, the development of the transportation network, including the construction of the Kuala Lumpur–Singapore High-Speed Rail (HSR), will involve MVV as one of its stops.
"This infrastructure development will drive socio-economic growth and create dynamic economic clusters along its corridor while transforming lifestyles, work patterns, and travel in a more organised way," he added.
