JAKARTA: National men’s singles, Lee Zii Jia was eliminated in the first round of the Indonesia Masters 2020 after losing to Huang Yu Xiang of China. Lee, 21, the 2019 SEA Games gold medalist, qualified for the semi-finals in the Malaysia Masters 2020 last week, lost 21-17, 21-23, 12-21. The Kedah-born player won the first set and narrowly losing the second set, failed to match Huang, 26 in the rubber set.
The Indonesia Masters which began yesterday until Jan 19 is being held at Istora Senayan Stadium in Jakarta. In the first round of the men’s doubles, four national pairs made it to the second round.
