KUALA LUMPUR: Beh Chun Meng-Goh Boon Zhe kept the BAM flag flying when they reached the final of the Malaysia International Series today.
The men's doubles duo, who looked steady from the start, ousted independent compatriots Leong Jun Kai-Jimmy Wong 21-12, 21-13 in the semi-finals at the Arena Badminton Perak.
As the sole standing national pair in the competition, Chun Meng-Boon Zhe had a lot to prove and they passed with flying colours.
Standing between them and the title are China's Chen Bo Yang-Liu Yi.
The China pair defeated Indonesia's Muhammad Juan Elgiffani- Nendi Novatino 21-13, 13-21, 21-12 in the other semi-final.
Since the tournament's inception in 2017, Malaysia have only won the men's doubles crown once, in the inaugural edition through Lee Jian Yi-Lim Zhen Ting.
