KUALA LUMPUR: World No 4 Lee Zii Jia continued to show his fondness towards the All England after reaching his fourth quarter-finals in as many appearances on Thursday.
The 2021 winner was in his element as he brushed aside Japan's Kenta Nishimoto 21-15, 21-10 in 40 minutes for his fourth straight win against the world No 15 at the Utilita Arena Birmingham.
The win sets up a mouth-watering clash with Japanese star Kodai Naraoka.
Zii Jia will be fired up to settle the score with Naraoka, who had ousted him in the first round of the Malaysia Open in January on his way to finishing runner-up to Denmark's Viktor Axelsen.
Last night, Ng Tze Yong pulled off the tournament's biggest upset when he stunned top seed Axelsen 21-15, 9-21, 23-21.
He will face China's Li Shi Feng next for a place in the last four.
