KUALA LUMPUR: World No 4 Lee Zii Jia cruised into his second semi-finals in as many weeks at the Swiss Open after exacting sweet revenge on Taiwan's Lee Chia Hao in Basel today.
The 24-year-old fended off a late charge by the world 42 to seal a 21-12, 21-17 win.
Zii Jia had lost to Chia Hao in the second round of the German Open two weeks ago.
Zii Jia, the semi-finalist at All England last week, will aim to go one better when he meets Japan's Koki Watanabe for a place in the final tomorrow.
The last time Zii Jia made the World Tour final was at the Denmark Open, which he finished runner-up.
World No 37 Watanabe, who has only one Super 100 title to his name, will be pumped up for the battle with Zii Jia.
He was in his element when he outclassed world No 19 Lee Cheuk Yiu of Hong Kong 21-12, 21-15.
It will be Zii Jia and Watanabe maiden meeting.
