KUALA LUMPUR: Lee Zii Jia and Leong Jun Hao were shown the door in the quarter-finals of the Indonesia Open in Jakarta on Friday.
World No. 7 Zii Jia went down 21-16, 21-17 to Thailand's world champion Kunlavut Vitidsarn, while Jun Hao found China's world No. 4 Li Shi Feng too hot to handle, losing 21-11, 21-12.
The hectic schedule must have taken its toll on both players, especially Jun Hao, who was playing in his fourth tournament in as many weeks.
However, credit to Zii Jia and Jun Hao for reaching this far in the tournament.
