KUALA LUMPUR: Women's doubles Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah stumbled at the final hurdle of the Arctic Open in Vantaa, Finland, today.
World No. 2 Liu Sheng Shu-Tan Ning proved too strong as world No. 7 Pearly-Thinaah fell 21-12, 21-17 in 58 minutes.
It was their fifth defeat in eight encounters against the Chinese pair.
Pearly-Thinaah had defeated Sheng Shu-Tan Ning in last month's Hong Kong Open final but failed to replicate that form in Finland.
