KUALA LUMPUR: World No. 7 Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik are one step away from winning their first title of the year after advancing to the Korea Masters men's doubles final in Iksan City today.
The top seeds overcame Taiwan's scratch pairing of Chiu Hsiang Chieh and Wang Chi Lin 21-17, 21-16 in the 36-minute semi-final.
Lee Yang, Chi Lin's former partner, retired after they won their second Olympic gold in Paris in August.
Aaron-Wooi Yik will face another scratch pairing, Jin Yong-Kim Won Ho from South Korea, in the final tomorrow.
Jin Yong-Wan Ho defeated compatriots Ki Dong-Ju and Seo Seung-Jae 16-21, 21-19, 21-16 in their semi-final.
