KUALA LUMPUR: Mixed doubles Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei staged a magnificent comeback against China's world No. 13 Guo Xin Wa-Chen Fang Hui to reach the China Masters semi-finals in Shenzhen today.
World No. 10 Tang Jie-Ee Wei saved 10 match points in the second game to force the decider and prevail 4-21, 23-21, 21-16 in 65 minutes.
The Malaysians trailed 21-11 in the second game before battling valiantly to turn the tide.
It was Tang Jie-Ee Wei's second victory in as many matches against the Chinese pair.
Tang Jie-Ee Wei will meet either China's world No. 2 Feng Yan Zhe-Huang Dong Ping or Taiwan's Yang Po Hsuan-Hu Ling Fang in the last four tomorrow.
