KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's mixed doubles Hoo Pang Ron-Cheng Su Yin continued their great run in the China Masters by storming into the semi-finals in Shenzhen today.
The world No. 25 outplayed Taiwan's world No. 33 Chen Cheng Kuan-Hsu Yin Hui 21-10, 21-16 in 31 minutes.
This is Pang Ron-Su Yin's best result on the World Tour as they previously did not surpass the quarter-final stage in a Super 500 event or higher.
Pang Ron-Su Yin will meet Hong Kong's Tang Chun Man-Tse Ying Suet — who beat Indonesians Dejan Ferdinansyah-Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja 21-13, 21-17 — in the last four tomorrow.
