KUALA LUMPUR: The opportunity to train with J2 club Roasso Kumamoto will be fully exploited by national Under-19 (U-19) forward Hadi Fayyadh Abd Radzak.
Even though he will only be training for a week with the Japanese outfit, the Johor Darul Ta’zim II (JDT II) player is ready to give it his all while learning as much as he possibly can from the short stint in a country where the national side has qualified for the World Cup six times.
“I was so happy when I was selected for the short training stint with Roasso Kumamoto in Japan and I am very thankful to Yakult Malaysia who helped a lot in arranging for me to go over there.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my team, JDT II for allowing me to go to Japan.
“This will be a very valuable experience and I will work very hard throughout the duration of the training stint and pick up as much as I can,” stressed Hadi Fayyadh.
The 18-year-old forward leaves for Japan on Sunday night.
Meanwhile, Yakult (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd managing director Hiroshi Hamada explained that impressive performances shown by Hadi Fayyadh during the Sanix Cup on March attracted the attention of the Japanese team.
“I am made to understand that the Japanese team were interested in inviting Hadi Fayyadh over to train with them after seeing the quality of the player’s game when we sponsored the Malaysian team to take part in the Sanix Cup.
“Apart from Hadi Fayyadh, the Japanese outfit were also impressed with the performance of a few other players and are ready to give those players the same chance in time to come.
“Yakult Malaysia will continue to support the development of Malaysian football players in Japan and will try to help as many young, budding talents here in Malaysia for a chance to gain experience by training in Japan,” said Hamada.
