Thai League Three's Ang Thong FC have terminated the contract of national youth player Zafuan Azeman.
The 21-year-old had signed a two-year contract with the 2013 Thai Regional League Central-West Division champions last September.
Many Thai clubs are now facing financial issues following the suspension of the season due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Most teams in the lower-tier have restructured their finances and terminated the contracts of their players. It was also announced that the Division Three and Four competitions will be merged.
"I am very sad to announce that I have parted ways with Ang Thong," said Zafuan. "I would like to thank the club president, staff, coaches and teammates for treating me well during my stay."
The forward made his debut in February in the 4-0 defeat to Chachoengsao Hi-Tek FC.
Dominic Tan (Police Tero FC) and Norshahrul Idlan Talaha (BG Pathum United) are the other Malaysians plying their trade in Thailand.
The Thai League, which is currently suspended, will likely restart in September.
