KUALA LUMPUR: Johor Darul Ta'zim FC (JDT) have launched their latest Nike home and away jerseys for the new season.
The new kits were unveiled in a launch event held at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium in Iskandar Puteri last night with fans in attendance.
JDT's home kit maintains the Johor flag identity of red and blue using a camouflage design and for the first time features a collar. The collar adds to its uniqueness and will appeal to jersey collectors.
The JDT away jersey retains white as its primary colour with a combination of red stripes on the shoulders and blue on the back.
The new jerseys were unveiled through a minute and forty second-long video featuring Crown Prince of Johor Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, who is also the JDT owner, and several JDT players. The video also hinted at JDT's readiness to conquer the 2023 season.
The new jerseys continue to feature the Nike Dri-Fit high-tech design concept.
"This is the ninth year of JDT's collaboration with Nike which has celebrated continuous success since 2014. These jerseys are a collective identity of the club's legacy and success on and off the field." said Nike in a statement released last night.
In line with JDT's partnership with Socios.com formed last September, the logo of the application platform are on both
jerseys. The application connects and provides reward opportunities to fans.
A carnival was also held in conjunction with the launch, with several family activities and kids games as well as food trucks organised for Southern Tigers fans.
Fans can buy the jerseys from the JDT Online Store and official distributors registered with Southern Tigers Sdn Bhd (STSB) in all Johor districts. The price of the jerseys are RM299 each for adults while the kids size jerseys are RM235 each.
