KUALA LUMPUR: Is former Manchester United star Radamel Falcao joining Johor Darul Ta'zim?
Coach Esteban Solari did not deny the possibility of the Colombian forward signing a contract with the Southern Tigers when met after the 3-0 win over KL City in Wednesday's Super League match in Cheras.
If Falcao joins, he will report to JDT during the second M-League window on July 5-Aug 1.
"There is a possibility. It is something that our boss (JDT owner Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim) is working on," said Solari
On Wednesday, Spanish media Marca reported that the 37-year-old Falcao, who is set to leave La Liga club Rayo Vallecano, has received offers from JDT and Valencia.
"A club so big as JDT knows that there could be an opportunity, but we are still waiting for more news... I will not say anymore because it depends on our boss, he will decide this."
Falcao could end up as JDT's second high-profile player after Argentine star Pablo Aimar in 2013.
This year, JDT have several big names, including former Watford and Sheffield Wednesday star Fernando Forestieri, ex-Swansea ace Jordi Amat and Aston Villa and Millwall old boy Shane Lowry.
