KUALA LUMPUR: Only a miracle will see Kelantan Darul Naim (KDN) take anything from tomorrow's Super League clash against formidable Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) at Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.
Defending champions JDT sit comfortably at the top of the table with 25 points from nine matches, while KDN are languishing at the bottom with just three points.
However, KDN coach Park Jaehong remains optimistic despite his team's struggles this season.
Fresh from a 2-2 draw with Shanghai Port in the AFC Champions League Elite (ACLE), JDT are heading into this match focused and prepared.
Jaehong, though, is determined to seize this opportunity as KDN aim to recover from a woeful start to the season, having won only one of their opening nine league matches.
"This match comes after almost a month without competitive play, which presents a challenge for us, while JDT are coming off a big 5-0 win over Penang (on Sept 12).
"However, we must put up a fight and not show too much respect to JDT," said Jaehong.
Kelantan have strengthened their squad with six new signings — Fikri Che Soh, Layth Kharoub, Hakimi Abdullah, Muhamin Izzudin, Aung Kaung Mann, and Washington Brandao.
Meanwhile, Negri Sembilan have added former KL City midfielder Sebastian Avanzini to their ranks ahead of tomorrow's away match against Penang at City Stadium.
Negri are 12th in the standings with just one win and one draw from nine matches, while Penang are eighth with 10 points.
