KUALA LUMPUR: Negri Sembilan FC (NSFC) have denied a report by the New Straits Times on the alleged non-payment of their players' salaries.
NSFC chief operating officer Satwant Singh made it clear that the team management does not owe their players any money in salary arrears.
It was reported earlier that Negri owed their players two months of wages, but further checks revealed that there is no issue of non-payment.
A disappointed Satwant said such an allegation was damaging to Negri's image, and he hoped it won't happen again.
"NSFC have no salary arrears issue with the players, and the allegation of two months of unpaid wages is not true," said Satwant.
"Our salary payments have been up to date, and we have settled their March wages."
