KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded another 0-0 draw, this time against world No. 157 Pakistan in the Women's International Friendly Tournament in Taif, Saudi Arabia on Thursday.
The Malayan Tigresses were held 0-0 by world No. 172 Saudi Arabia in their opening Group A match.Malaysia are ranked No. 89 in the world.
National coach Soleen Al-Zoubi admitted that the result was not what she had been expecting.
However, she has identified Malaysia's weak points after two matches.
"We wanted to win the game. The team played better than in the match against Saudi Arabia and dominated the game," said Soleen.
"However, we lacked strength in front of their goal. We need more practice."
With two points in the bag, Malaysia will now await the outcome of the match between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on Sunday to determine whether they will progress to the semi-finals.
