Selangor fans raise more than RM20,000 in less than 24 hours

KUALA LUMPUR: Their team have been fined RM100,000 (later reduced to RM60,000 by the Malaysian Football League (MFL), and Selangor fans have responded.

In less than 24 hours, since its launch on Wednesday night, they donated to RM20,552.33 to the "Solidarity Fund"

The MFL fined Selangor for their withdrawal from the Charity Shield match against Johor Darul Ta'zim on May 10 over safety concerns for their team.

Najwan Halimi, Selangor State Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneurial exco, said: "We appreciate the generous donations and the solidarity shown towards Selangor FC.
