KUALA LUMPUR: Perlis FA (PFA) president Zamri Ibrahim said FA of Malaysia (FAM) president Datuk Hamidin Amin should not be blamed for Kim Pan Gon's resignation as national head coach.
In a media statement, Zamri said the exit of coaches is part of professional football.
"PFA views Pan Gon's resignation as a normal occurrence in professional football.
"Based on his announcement, it's clear that Pan Gon resigned due to personal reasons and not because of external pressure.
"Therefore, PFA agrees with FAM and Pan Gon that there are no further compensation claims between the two parties, despite Pan Gon's contract running until December 2025," said Zamri.
The external pressure that Zamri was referring to was Pan Gon's usage of the words "very dangerous" when announcing his resignation at a press conference recently. However, the South Korean later blamed it on his poor grasp of English for causing the misunderstanding.
