KUALA LUMPUR: KL City kicked off their Asean Club Championship Group B campaign with a 1-0 victory over Kaya Iloilo from the Philippines at the KLFA Stadium today (Aug 22).
Haqimi Azim Rosli, 21, was the hero for the City Boys, scoring the decisive goal in the 12th minute.
In other Group B matches, Indonesia's Borneo defeated Singapore's Lion City Sailors 3-0, while Vietnam's Cong An Ha Noi edged Thailand's Buriram United 2-1.
KL City will next face Borneo at the KLFA Stadium on Sept 26.
