JOHOR BARU: A hundred and nine buses ferrying more than 4,000 Johor Darul Ta'zim FC supporters are heading to Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil in Kuala Lumpur for the FA Cup final tonight.

JDT Football Supporters Club deputy president Mohd Fazli Sapie said the supporters were thrilled to go and watch the Southern Tigers going against Selangor FC tonight.

Fadzli said 11 of those buses were transporting fans from the Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium in Larkin here about 8am today.

"At the Larkin Stadium (Tan Sri Dato Haji Hassan Yunos Stadium) we are ferrying 440 supporters in 11 buses. Another 80 buses will transport supporters from the Boys Of Straits group who are also departing their location (from Johor) this morning.

"Supporters from Muar, Segamat and Tangkak districts are also leaving to go to Stadium Nasional Bukit Jalil this morning," he told Berita Harian when met at Stadium Larkin.

For the record, Darul Ta'zim won the FA Cup three times when it lifted the trophy in 2016 and for two consecutive years in 2022 and last year.

Fadzli said during the briefing with supporters prior to their departure, he advised them to uphold discipline, and not to entertain or create any provocation to prevent any untoward incidents.

"They were briefed based on the standard operating procedures of the Malaysian Football League (MFL).

"We want to avoid provocation and anything that could lead to anger. We even stressed upon the SOP to enter the stadium to avoid any untoward incident," he said.

Supporters, meanwhile harboured hopes that their favourite team will win the cup.

Housewife Lizawati Palil, 41, predicted a score of 2-0 in favour of Johor Daul Ta'zim.

She and her good friend Sharifah Maznah Syed Salim, 51, left Felda Sungai Mas, Kota Tinggi to go to Larkin to take the bus.

"The both of us never missed an opportunity to watch a final match involving JDT in Stadium Bukit Jalil in the past five years."
