FCAM boss urges football coaches to report wage issues without fear

KUALA LUMPUR: Football Coaches Association of Malaysia (FCAM) president Datuk Ong Kim Swee has urged coaches to come forward and file complaints with the association if they face salary issues at their respective clubs.

Kim Swee confirmed that no coach has reported wage issues this season.

"For now, we haven't received any official reports," said Kim Swee.

"To help, a report must be made to FCAM. This will allow us to highlight the issue to the relevant parties, including the FA of Malaysia (FAM), and ensure it is taken seriously.

"It's like a police case – action cannot be taken without a report. If we receive one, we will make a strong statement and take appropriate action within our limits.

"I understand why they are scared. They think making a report might affect their future or that the process will take too long.

"But I assure you, we handle these matters discreetly. If someone reports an issue, their identity will not be revealed."
