KUALA LUMPUR: Ong Kim Swee, who will step down as Sabah head coach after today's Malaysia Cup match against Police, has been linked with a coaching role in Indonesia.
Indonesian media outlets have reported that the seasoned tactician is being considered by two top Liga 1 clubs, Bali United and Persis Solo, who are reportedly eyeing the 53-year-old.
"Persis Solo have the potential to bring in a new foreign coach for their Liga 1 campaign.
"Interestingly, there are two candidates from the M-League who could be alternatives for the Persis Solo job," Indonesian news platform Tribun reported.
The other candidate in contention is said to be former Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) head coach Benjamin Mora.
Timesport has reached out to Kim Swee for comment.
